When I realize the world is painful

and full of people that are hateful

Forgive me if I'm ever shameful

For life that is truthfully beautiful

but acting as if it is dull

Forgive me if I'm ever thankless

since sometimes life is filled with blankness

and you end up powerless

Forgive me if I'm ever selfish

realizing life out there might be more cruel

where many are helpless

and more live without fuel

Again,

Forgive me if I'm ever ungrateful

cause I know I should be thankful

with life that is wonderful.
